Proud Momma!

I am on my way to pick up my daughter from college. She has just completed her freshmen year. It was a tough adjustment for her.
But I am proud of her for not giving up.
  • I am proud of her for not running back to our familiar faces.
  • I am proud of her for stepping out of her comfort zone, for stepping out on fear, and pressing forward.
  • I am proud of her for saying those magical words the other day, "Momma, you were right". Although, it was bitter-sweet to my ears (YES! I want to be right but not at the expense of my baby girl hurting).
  • I am proud of her for showing that she is capable and responsible. Because it was me that needed to let go and let her grow. It was me that held her hand so tightly because I needed her more than she could ever realize.
